As of March 25, 2020, Lincoln Pediatric Clinic will be implementing the recommendations from the American Academy of Pediatrics regarding well visits. The current recommendation to keep the youngest children up to date on vaccinations will be our top priority in the context of well child care. This guidance is subject to change as new information about the SARS-CoV-2 virus emerges.

Our practice, Lincoln Pediatric Clinic, is adopting several adjustments to our usual clinical operations:

  • We will conduct well visits for newborns, infants, and younger children who require immunizations.  We are rescheduling well visits for patients whose ages fall between middle childhood and adolescence for later dates.

  • We will limit well visits to early morning hours while reserving the remainder of the day for sick visits.

  • We have dedicated specific rooms for sick visits and well visits.

  • We have dedicated 2 rooms for high risk patients, with contact and droplet precautions in place.

  • We will provide telehealth to keep our patients safe at home and away from the clinic or the ER.

  • We will also see patients in the parking lot area, for which patients and caregivers remain in their vehicles for the visit

  • Any patient who arrive at clinic for an unscheduled visit should also call from their vehicle when they arrive.
